Epilepsy Motion Detection Monitor

#728-S1027-CAN Motion Detection Monitor (Basic)

This compact system includes a sensitive motion sensor for use in beds; under the mattress on a foam pad support to detect motion in events like seizures. The controller is normally located near the bed and is adjustable to provide a suitable time delay to minimize false alarms for short duration movements. There is also a sensitivity adjustment to allow for variations in mattress thickness and degrees of movement.

A rechargeable battery is installed in the controller as a standby power supply in the event of a power failure. This remains in a charged condition during normal use with the power supply transformer.

The alarm initiates a signal to a wired, remote alarm box. A 10 metre cable is provided, but longer lengths are available, if required or additional extensions can be used.

These monitoring systems have been designed to assist caregivers, and to increase the possibility of being aware of bedtime seizures accompanied by movement.

Skullguard Epilepsy Helmets

The Skullguard Epilepsy Helmet is a lightweight, comfortable head protector, that provides moderate protection. It is made with a polyether rubber, and is covered with nylon. The inside of the helmet is lined with Jersey Cloth, to ensure wearer comfort.

The product is available as a stock item in 1 cm increments, beginning at 42 cm and ranging up to 62 cm. The smaller sizes, intended for young children are red, the medium sizes are royal blue, and the large sizes are in dark brown. Custom sizes, colours or other modifications are available, but additional charges apply. Custom orders take approximately 12 weeks. Chin Cups/Straps available upon request.

All materials are colour fast and washable at 40°C
